Kristin Anders is a romance-genre freelance editor offering content edits, line edits, copyedits, advertising advice, and more. She founded Ravishing Romances, a review site for romance novels, and has bestselling and experienced authors for editing references. Kristin holds an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies and was a paralegal in entertainment law and litigation for six years.

Kristin Anders lives in Nashville, Tennessee. She has an Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies and attends college part-time to complete her degree in Communications. Her course for Spring 2013 is Media Writing.

Kristin worked as a paralegal for six years in entertainment law and litigation. Her work focused on legal writing and brief editing, writing within court-mandated word counts, and writing on topic, on deadline, and under stress.

Kristin is a now a freelance editor for the romance genre and romance-heavy fiction. She gives content edits, line edits, copyedits, and critiques and currently offers free promotion/advertising advice to clients.

Kristin's resume shows her experience and continuing education (because she still takes workshops and classes to learn).

Her references are bestselling authors (Amazon, NYT, and USA), an author she interned for at Entangled Publishing, and experienced self-published authors.

She blogs about writing tips, romance contests, and promotion ideas once a week and offers a free, 500-word manuscript critique once a month.

Kristin uses the Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition) for an editing style-guide and has a weekly reading plan so she can read the entire book in a year.

Kristin stays up-to-date on the romance and publishing industry by reading editor and agent blogs, following publishers' websites, reading Publishers Weekly, and staying active in Romance Writers of America and her local chapter, Music City Romance Writers.

To further her editing and fiction knowledge, Kristin also attends romance conferences, reads books on writing, and attends writing workshops. She believes the editor should know what the writer knows and puts that into practice.

In addition to freelancing, Kristin also founded, and now co-runs, Ravishing Romances, a romance book blog.
